Porch Talk is an up-and-coming band based in Fort Collins, Colorado. They have the talent and energy, but had no visual identity to match. No logo, no merchandise, and no shared sense of who they were or where they were headed. Before any design work began, we started with strategy. Through conversations with the band, we defined their core values, clarified their audience, and built a vision
I grouped their responses around audience perception and self-perception into key themes, which became the starting point for logo ideation in my sketchbook.
From there, we developed a complete identity system: a logo that captures the band's energy on stage and off, a color palette and typography built to hold up across posters, social media, and merch, and a set of brand guidelines to keep everything consistent as the band grew.
Customized script wordmark for an alternative option
This identity system is meant to evolve and grow as the band develops their tone of voice and grows into different phases of creation.
Merchandise brought the identity to life in a tangible way, giving fans something to wear and giving the band a professional presence at every show.
