Like many during the pandemic, my desk job felt uninspiring at times and I wanted to design work that brought myself joy. I’ve always been interested in analog hobbies — ceramics, baking, carving, etc. and I was motivated to pick up a new past time. DoubllDesign has given me an opportunity to scratch the creative itch outside of my 9 to 5. This is where I challenge myself to create for the sake to creating and constantly push myself to become a better artist. Learning how to screen print from home required a lot of patience, research, and determination. There’s been many hurdles, but forcing myself not to give up was really invigorating. My first debut of products was at the Colorado Makers Market on November 28th, 2021.
